Become a Member of NEWS

We are still seeking members of NEWS as well as renewed commitments from existing members!

NEWS membership is open to Washington school districts and their local education associations, civic organizations, community groups, statewide associations and other organizations who share NEWS' commitment to K-12 education. (Individuals who wish to show their support can sign on to become Friends of NEWS.)

To become a NEWS member, school districts are asked to make a public statement of their support  by passing a resolution and to provide a financial contribution to NEWS. Read a letter encouraging districts to consider membership. Read a letter encouraging existing members to make a renewed financial commitment. Read a sample resolution.

Once your school district decides to join NEWS, simply email us and we will provide an invoice for your contribution along with any other information you may need to facilitate your membership.

We welcome community organizations and civic groups, who are not required to make a financial contribution. However, we appreciate any financial contribution from these interested organizations.
